Concurrent Enrollment

Concurrent Enrollment

Upperclassmen at Sky View have the excellent opportunity to take college courses while in High School. These Concurrent Enrollment courses are offered through Utah State University and Weber State University and are taught here at Sky View.

There are many benefits to taking Concurrent Enrollment courses:

  • It is much cheaper to take college courses in high school
    • It costs $5 per credit while at Sky View
    • It costs hundreds of dollars to take the same course in a traditional 4-year university
  • Class sizes are much smaller in High School
    • Sky View students can expect 25-35 students in their Concurrent Enrollment classrooms
    • University freshmen class sizes can range anywhere from 50 - 150 students
  • Concurrent Enrollment courses are taught by a teacher here at Sky View
  • We do have access to some ONLINE Concurrent Enrollment courses as well. Check the link below for a list of course offerings
Please talk with your school counselor for more information on how to register for Concurrent Enrollment courses OR follow these links to register as a Concurrent Enrollment Student!

Standards

In order to communicate student expectations of and commitments to CE courses, Cache County School District and USU partnered together to create a document to formalize and present those standards to students and parents. To view this document click below.

What if I don't plan on attending USU or WSU?

When it comes to selecting a course, students should not only see if they have an interest in the subject, but also see how the class would translate to college requirements.
Although many credits work between Utah colleges, it is always good to double-check to see if your USU or WSU courses will transfer. Click on the following link to see more information on how to see if your USU or WSU courses will transfer:
