PCCR

What is a Plan for College and Career Readiness (PCCR)?

As a counseling department, we are here to help each individual student build a 4-year plan for their high school academic experience. We also want to make sure the 4-year high school plan is tied to each student's career interests and their goals for post-high school education, whether that be through a 1-year certificate program or an 8-year Ph.D program. We are here to help EVERY student succeed in high school and beyond!

Every year, we meet with each student in what is called a "PCCR" (Plan for College and Career Readiness) meeting to talk about individual college and career goals and how we can best help each student achieve those goals. We also use this as an opportunity to help students choose classes and register for the upcoming academic year. To the right are some helpful links for this PCCR meeting process

Schedule Change Policy

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that students change their schedule BEFORE the affected trimester begins.

  • Counselors WILL be available for schedule changes 30 minutes before AND after school as well as during all of RoCK Hour each day.
  • Counselors WILL NOT be available between class time or during class time for schedule changes.
  • Schedule changes will only be allowed through the 3rd day of class each trimester (no late change fee).

This policy is meant to support both students and teachers and prioritize the importance of an in-class instructional time.
